There are currently four computers in the Reference Room and two in our lower stack level that are available for Internet Access. Our Children's department has three PCs, two Macs and two iPads. Patrons are limited to thirty minutes at the computer terminal if others are waiting. Please see our Internet Policy for acceptable use.
The Lincoln Library offers WiFi throughout the building. In order to use the library's WiFi connection you will need to accept the Library's Internet Policy which will be presented as a splash screen.
The library offers portable Wi-Fi units for loan: connect your Wi-Fi-enabled devices to a Lincoln Public Library MiFi and get high-speed Internet wherever you're in range of the Sprint network. Details here.
All computers in the Library offer Microsoft Office as do three PCs in the Children's Room.
All Internet and word processing computers are attached to network printers. Printing charge is 10¢/page for black & white and 25¢/page for color.
For security reasons work can not be saved to the computer's hard drives. You can either save to a thumb drive, or email the document to yourself. The Library can sell you an 8GB thumb drive for $5.00.
The Reference Department provides training as needed and is always happy to consider suggestions. Please stop by the desk for assistance.
